Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because Handyman Coop operates as a marketplace and referral platform, refund and cancellation outcomes may vary depending on how a booking or request was submitted and which independent provider or fulfillment partner accepts the work.

1. Marketplace Requests

If you submit a request through Handyman Coop for matching, quoting, or lead routing, no service is guaranteed until a provider accepts the work and confirms the project details. Submission of a request alone does not guarantee a booking, appointment, or refund right.

2. Direct Bookings

If you book directly with an affiliated fulfillment partner or independent provider through a direct-booking path, that transaction may be subject to the cancellation, refund, rescheduling, or payment policies of that provider or booking system.

3. Provider Cancellations

Independent providers may cancel, reschedule, or decline jobs based on availability, service area, project scope, safety concerns, missing information, access conditions, pricing issues, or other operational factors. Handyman Coop is not liable for provider availability or provider cancellation decisions.

4. Customer Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule, do so as early as possible using the booking method or provider instructions associated with your transaction. Some providers may charge cancellation or rescheduling fees depending on timing and work already performed.

5. Refund Requests

Refund requests related to workmanship, cancellations, missed appointments, dissatisfaction, or scope disputes are generally handled by the independent provider or fulfillment partner responsible for the service unless Handyman Coop expressly agrees to administer the transaction.

6. Non-Refundable Items

Lead fees, referral fees, booking platform fees, deposit processing costs, payment processing costs, and other platform-related fees may be non-refundable unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise in writing.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDYMAN COOP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR REFUND DISPUTES, CHARGEBACKS, MISSED SAVINGS, LOST TIME, OR SERVICE DISSATISFACTION BEYOND ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS (US $1,000) OR THE COST OF THE APPLICABLE SERVICE, WHICHEVER IS LOWER.
